Savings calculator
Work out what per-seat AI will cost you by 2031.
Add a person, add a seat, add a line to the renewal. An owned deployment does none of that. Set your headcount and the tools you licence today, and the gap is the whole argument.
Your numbers
Two inputs, and the rest is arithmetic.
Your setup
Everything updates as you type. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Separate subscriptions Barie would replace.
Does not change the price.
A planning placeholder. Barie is scoped against your estate, so replace this with the figure from your quote.
Your result
At 1,000 people.
50%Lower than the per-seat stack
$180,000Saved in the first year
- Per-seat stack
- $360,000every year, and it grows
- Barie
- $180,000flat, at any headcount
At 1,000 people you keep $180,000 a year. At 25,000 the same flat cost keeps $8.8M, because only one side of this comparison charges you for hiring.
That is $180,000 a year back in your budget, and not one byte of it leaves the building.

How this is worked out
- The per-seat side is headcount multiplied by the rate, over twelve months. Rates marked published come from the vendor's own price list. Rates marked reported have no public price list, so the figure is the midpoint of ranges reported by buyers in 2026 and should be treated as indicative.
- Google is shown as bundled rather than at a per-seat rate. The separate Gemini add-on was discontinued in 2025 and the capability now sits inside Workspace, so a per-seat AI line would overstate it.
- Claude Enterprise carries a seat fee only. Usage is billed separately at API rates, so the real figure lands above the line shown here.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot is an add-on. It assumes a qualifying Microsoft 365 licence you are already paying for, which this calculator does not count.
- The Barie side is the flat annual figure in the field above, unchanged by headcount. Barie is not sold per seat, so there is no rate to multiply. The default is a placeholder for planning, not a quote.
- Point tools are added at $8 per user per month each, a deliberately conservative stand-in for the smaller subscriptions a single platform absorbs.
- The range starts at 1,000 people. Below roughly that size a per-seat licence is cheaper than owning infrastructure at any published rate, so the comparison stops being useful. Enter a smaller headcount by hand if you want to see the crossover.
- Figures are in US dollars and exclude infrastructure, implementation and staff costs on both sides. This is a planning estimate. Your real number comes out of scoping.
Take it to your board
The version with the workings attached.
The number above is yours to use, gated behind nothing. If you need the version that survives a finance review, we will put your inputs into a written breakdown: five-year total cost of ownership, what the migration actually involves, and where the savings land by year.
- Five-year view. Per-seat growth modelled against your hiring plan, not a flat headcount.
- Sourced line by line. Every rate cited, so procurement can check it without calling us.
- Deployment shape. What on-premises, VPC or full isolation changes about the timeline.
Own your intelligence.
Bring the renewal quote that prompted this and we will price the alternative against it.
