About Barie · Terms of service

The terms for this site, and where the real agreement takes over.

These terms cover barie.ai and what is published on it. A Barie deployment is licensed under a separate written agreement negotiated with your organisation, and that agreement governs everything it covers. Where the two disagree, it wins.

Terms in full

01What this document is

These terms govern your use of barie.ai and the information on it. They are not the licence for the Barie platform. A deployment is licensed under a separate written agreement negotiated with your organisation, and where that agreement and these terms conflict, that agreement wins for everything it covers.

By using this site you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

02Using this site

You may read, quote and share anything published here, including for commercial purposes, provided you attribute it and do not present it as your own. You may not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for others, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or use it to develop a directly competing product by systematically copying its content.

We are not obliged to keep any particular page available, but we will keep a redirect where a page moves, because breaking someone else's link is rude.

03The platform is licensed separately

Barie runs on infrastructure you control. The written agreement covering a deployment sets out the licence grant, the service commitments, the support terms, the data processing terms and the liability position. It is negotiated, not clicked.

Nothing on this website varies that agreement, adds to it, or creates an entitlement under it. Descriptions here are written to be accurate but they are marketing, and marketing is not a warranty.

04Accounts and waitlist places

Where you give us details to join the waitlist or request a demonstration, give us accurate ones and keep them current. A waitlist place is not a contract, confers no entitlement to a deployment, and may be withdrawn if the details given were false.

Access to a deployment is administered by your own organisation against its own identity provider. We do not issue credentials and cannot restore access to a system we do not administer.

05Intellectual property

The Barie name, the wordmark and the software are ours. The written content on this site is ours, and is published under the reading in clause 02.

The icon set is Lucide, used under the ISC licence; the notice is in the site assets. Third-party product names appear for identification and remain the marks of their owners. Their appearance here is not a claim of endorsement in either direction.

Everything inside your deployment — your data, your configurations, the skills your people write — is yours. We claim no licence over it beyond what is strictly required to provide support you have asked for, and we hold no copy of it.

06Figures, benchmarks and calculators

The savings calculator is a planning tool. It computes an estimate from the assumptions you enter, several of which are defaults we chose. It is not a quotation, not a forecast, and not a commitment on price.

Benchmarks and result figures published here come from specific runs in specific environments. Your environment differs. We publish the method alongside the number wherever we can precisely so the number can be argued with.

07Warranties and disclaimers

This website is provided as it is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties in relation to it, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Warranties for a deployment are in the agreement covering it. This clause does not touch them.

08Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising out of your use of this website.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

09Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them, are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the contracting Barie entity is registered, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction. Where you contract with us for a deployment, the governing law in that agreement applies to that relationship instead.

Before either side starts proceedings about this website, we ask for thirty days to resolve it directly. Most things are a misunderstanding and can be dealt with in a call.

10Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continued use of the site after that date is acceptance of the updated version. Material changes are announced on the site rather than made quietly.

Questions, notices and anything that needs a person go through the contact page. Related documents: the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

Own your intelligence.

If your counsel wants the deployment agreement and the data processing terms up front, ask and we will send both before the first call.
